      Gifted In-Field Endorsement

      Bagwell College of Education

The Gifted In-Field Endorsement in Georgia at Kennesaw State University enables educators to provide direct instruction only in the grade levels and fields of their base certificates. It also allows those with the endorsement to serve as a resource teacher for "indirect services" for gifted education in any content area or grade level P-12.

Course work emphasizes scholarly rigor through an examination of seminal and recent research. Technology andbest practices in identification and instruction for the gifted, which includes those who are twice exceptional, are infused throughout the program. This Gifted Endorsement Program leads to the addition of a Gifted Endorsement to a candidate's current Georgia certificate which corresponds with the candidates' current teaching certificate area(s) and grade levels.
