Certificate in Software Engineering
The Graduate Certificate in SWE assumes students have a significant background in computing. This certificate will both deepen and broaden the student's knowledge of computing, and prepares them for positions of more responsibility in the computing industry, as well as further postgraduate studies.
A bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field is strongly encouraged; however, a bachelor’s degree in any field with work experience relevant to this certificate is acceptable. Students without a degree in a related field would have to take a substantial amount of additional course work to prepare for this certificate, and those students would be advised to take the Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering Foundations first.
