All KSU Online courses have met specific national quality standards by being assessed with the Quality Matters Rubric through an internal peer review process as part of the KSU Online Course Quality Initiative. Quality Matters (QM) is a faculty-centered, peer review process and rubric designed to certify the quality of online courses. The nationally recognized QM process is based on the research literature and best practices for online teaching and learning.
New KSU Online courses must be developed using the QM Rubric, and must pass the initial peer review process before being offered for registration. Courses not meeting standards are not offered for registration until the standards have been met.
Current KSU Online courses are re-reviewed every three years to ensure current materials and information are taught, as well as the course meeting current standards. Additionally, if an instructor changes more than 15% of a current course, it must be re-reviewed before it can be offered for registration.
